WATCH: Jordan Clarkson leads Lakers in losing effort versus the Warriors

The odds were always going to be slim that the LA Lakers would dispatch the Golden State Warriors. But the situation became more dire due to the fact that both Kobe Bryant and D’Angelo Russell weren’t available. So, short-handed Lakers versus getting-back-to-100-percent Warriors? To quote Jalen Rose, “Not gonna be able to do it!”

Things didn’t even up either despite Steph Curry leaving early again with another shin issue. The final score was 109-88, but at least we got a mini-Jordan Clarkson showcase out of it.

With Russell and Kobe out, Clarkson became the team’s main threat, and he showed off his skills to the tune of 23 points (albeit on 8-of-20 shooting), five rebounds and two assists. Given that he’s in a contract year, performances like these will become very important, whether or not he stays in LA.
