Dwyane Wade will be coming back to South Beach for a final hurrah.
The three-time NBA champion announced his return in a 10-minute monologue where he spoke about how fast his professional journey has gone by. Wade also shared the factors that led to his decision to hang it up after this season.
Wade was drafted by fifth overall by the Miami Heat in 2003. He played there for 13 straight years and won titles in 2006, 2012 and 2013. He also has numerous individual achievements including 12 All-Star appearanced and a Finals MVP award in 2006.
Last season, Wade played 46 games with LeBron James as a member of the Cleveland Cavaliers. He was traded before the trade deadline back to Miami where he was part of the Heat playoff team that lost in the first round. Wade averaged 12 points, three rebounds and three assists in 67 games during the 2017-2018 season.
