The Portland Trail Blazers put up quite the fight against the Golden State Warriors, especially when you consider they got blown out WITH Damian Lillard the last time they battled. With Dame on the bench in a suit, they still managed to keep it close though, before the Warriors pulled away late, 125-117.
With Klay Thompson (14 points on 15 shots) misfiring, Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant took up the bulk of the scoring chores.
Curry exploded for 35 points on 12-of-25 shooting, plus seven rebounds, five assists, and a steal (five turnovers though).
Durant on the other hand dropped 30 on an efficient 9-of-16 clip, with five boards, four dimes, two swipes, and three rejections.
Draymond Green also had a nice game with nine markers, seven rebounds, and 11 assists.
CJ McCollum led the way for Portland with 35 points on 31 shots.
Golden State improved to 31-5, still tops among the other NBA teams, while Portland fell back to 15-22, one back of the Western Conference’s eighth seed.
