TNT sends Digregorio to Alaska for Enciso

The TNT KaTropa continues to make moves to strengthen their roster for next season. After making a move to acquire Mike Digregorio from the Blackwater Elite, they then flipped him for Simon Enciso of the Alaska Aces. The trade was finalized by both teams earlier today.

The KaTropa get a combo guard to back up Jayson Castro in Enciso. In the 11 Elims games he played this season, Enciso averaged 8.3 points and 3.7 assists per game. He struggled from beyond the arc in the past conference, hitting just one three-pointer at a 26% clip.

Enciso can play off the bench as the lead guard when Castro sits. That solves a playmaking problem that plagued TNT in the Governors’ Cup Playoffs. Enciso can also play alongside Castro as the shooting guard in TNT’s spread-out lineup.

The Aces are moving on from Enciso after acquiring a similar player in Maverick Ahanmisi. Ahanmisi played sparingly last conference and is looking to take on a bigger role next season.

Digregorio played only four games in the last conference as he was buried in the bench of the KaTropa. But before the trade, Digregorio was a prolific outside shooter for the Elite. He can slot in beside Ahanmisi and Jvee Casio as the main outside option for the Aces.
