Slam Dunk: All Love for the B.LEAGUE

The first-ever B.LEAGUE event held in Manila.

It was a rare occurrence, to have five Filipino players who played in the B.LEAGUE all in one room, watching the game they love, talking about the lessons they’ve learned, and the different lives they’ve lived in Japan.

The Nissay B.LEAGUE Finals 2021-2022 Watch Party was held on Saturday at the TITAN flagship store in BGC and was graced by the presence of Thirdy Ravena, Kiefer Ravena, Ray Parks Jr., Javier Gomez de Liaño, and Kemark Cariño. The five Asian Quota Players gamely talked about their experience playing in the Japanese B.LEAGUE, where they spent the past year away from family and friends, but much closer to the international game. The pre-game talk show, live-streamed on the B.LEAGUE’ss official YouTube channel, was hosted by Anthony Suntay.

Japanese Ambassador Kazuhiko Koshikawa, one of the biggest B.LEAGUE fans, was also in attendance. In his special message before the watch party, Ambassador Koshikawa thanked the Filipino players and highlighted the importance of their role in the B.LEAGUE in strengthening ties between Japan and the Philippines.

Select fans and friends from the media received Player Custom Tees featuring the Filipino B.LEAGUE players. The event marked the first-ever B.LEAGUE event held in Manila.
