REPORT: Milwaukee Bucks fire Jason Kidd

Jason Kidd is the latest NBA head coach to get the ax. ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported that the Milwaukee Bucks have fired Kidd.

According to Wojnarowski’s tweets, Kidd was fired when the Bucks dropped to the eight spot in the East. Milwaukee has lost four of their last five games, with several losses to Eastern Playoff teams. In addition to the losses, it was also reported that Kidd was removed because of “frayed relationships in organization” and “general non-alignment”.

In addition to this report by Wojnarowski, ESPN’s Ramona Shelburne reported that Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo tried to save Kidd from being fired.

But at that point Kidd has accepted the decision and told Antetokounmpo that there was nothing he can do.

Bucks Assistant Coach Joe Prunty will be taking over head coaching duties in the interim. He will be taking over when the Bucks face the Phoenix Suns today.
