The SEA Games Roster will be primarily composed of PBA players on loan for Gilas duty. Almond Vosotros, Von Pessumal, Carl Bryan Cruz, Kevin Ferrer, and Troy Rosario were all part of the National Team pool that was announced earlier this month. Baser Amer was a late addition to the Pool to represent the Meralco Bolts after Jonathan Gray was traded. All these players will take a leave from their respective teams to play in the upcoming SEA Games.
They will be joined by Kiefer Ravena, Kobe Paras, Ray Parks, Raymar Jose and Christian Standhardinger. These player are are brought in to bolster the PBA contingent. Ravena, Paras and Standhardinger are arguably the best players not yet playing in the pros. Jose has graduated from the UAAP and has played for the D-League and the ABL. Paras is still in the collegiate level playing in the US NCAA.
All the players have joined the Gilas practices in preparation for the tournament this August.
