The Road Warriors bring back Mike Miranda to the fold and send away Juami Tiongson to the Batang Pier.
In the statement released by the Road Warriors, Coach Yeng Guiao noted the need to strengthen their front line as the reason for the trade.
“It so happened that Mike was available. Since Mike came from our team before and knows my system, he became a natural consideration,” Guiao said.
Miranda was a former player for NLEX and was part of the team in 2017-2018. Miranda will join bannered by Poy Erram, and JR Quinahan. He will be part of a rotation that includes Raul Soyud and Asi Taulava as back up big men. This move also frees up a guard slot in the rotation. That will most likely be taken up by Kiefer Ravena when he returns.
The Batang Pier acquire a player who Guiao notes has grown so much during his time in the league. Tiongson gives Coach Pido Jarencio addition options on the wings, especially at the point guard position. With Jonathan Grey out for an extended period of time due to a knee injury, Tiongson will fit into the rotation of the Batang Pier.
The trade has yet to be finalized on the PBA transactions page.
