As soon as the draft concluded, rumors started swirling as the NLEX Road Warriors were reportedly trading their top picks from this draft for Poy Erram from the Blackwater Elite.
The Road Warriors, through their social media account, released a statement confirming that there is a plan to offer Paul Desiderio and Abu Tratter for Erram.

Desiderio was picked fourth in this year’s draft and Tratter was the seventh pick.
According to the statement, after the draft, coach Yeng Guiao discussed the possible trade with the two rookies. NLEX is trying to acquire “a much-needed big man who impressed Coach Yeng during their national team stint.”
The Road Warriors are submitting the trade proposal to the PBA today. “If the trade is disapproved, we’d be more than happy to have them on our team,” the team said in their statement.
Erram is a good fit for the Road Warriors as he’s a big man that can shoot from the outside, a requirement of Coach Guiao for all his big men. He’s also a long, athletic defender that can protect the paint. Erram would be the big man of the future for NLEX.
For Blackwater, they would fill in the vacant big man slot with Tratter. He’s a bruising big man that can potentially play well alongside Raymar Jose and Mac Belo. Desiderio will add depth to the guard spot of the Elite. He is a potent scorer that can come off the bench for instant production.
