Three things that happened in the NBA today:
1. Tucker brings the heat
PJ Tucker is the unquestioned Sneaker MVP last season. The guy has two lockers, one for himself and one for his sneakers in the Toyota Center. The heat he rocked last year included the Off-White Hyperdunks, Off-White Air Jordan 1s, the Nike Aston Martin pack and the Nike Yeezy 2 ‘Solar Red’. Here’s all 106 sneakers he wore last season.
This season, Tucker is once again leading the Sneaker MVP race. With the sneaker color restriction gone, Tucker has upped the ante rocking several colorful PEs as well as a lot of fire that’s never been seen before. He’s worn heat like the LeBron 6 ‘Stewie’, the Kobe 6 ‘Grinch’ and the KD 4 ‘Nerf’. Here’s a list of the kicks that Tucker has rocked so far this season.
Tucker’s sneakers are often louder than his actual play. He’s a glue guy who stays in his lane, playing defense and doing the dirty work on court. The bulk of the production is carried by the reigning NBA MVP, James Harden.
With the best team in the West coming to town, Tucker brought the heat. On his feed and from beyond the arc. Rocking the Kobe 5 ‘Big Stage’, Tucker didn’t shy away from the spotlight.

He erupted for 21 points, hitting 7/11 three-pointers to help the Beard beat the Nuggets.
Harden put up his usual MVP numbers of 32 points on six threes with 14 assists. He added another name to his Broken Ankle list when he dropped Jamal Murray with this vicious behind-the-back dribble.
The Rockets bounce back from their loss to the Blazers in their last game. They’ve now won 12 of their last 14 games and have risen up to fifth in the West.
2. The Bosnian was a Beast
To start the year, Jusuf Nurkic made history.
Jusuf Nurkić made history tonight. 😳
He is the 1st player to have 20+ PTS, 20+ REB, 5+ AST, 5+ STL & 5+ BLK in a game since steals and blocks were first recorded as official stats in 1973. pic.twitter.com/y5ceBuxBxM

Today, the Bosnian Beast put up 20 points on 77% shooting against the Knicks. That makes three wins in four games to start the year for the Blazers
Nurkic is averaging 22.8 points, 13.5 rebounds, 1.5 steals and 2.0 blocks to start 2019.
3. DeMar and Dwayne reunite in Detroit
This was the first meeting between DeMar DeRozan and Coach Dwayne Casey since their stint with the Raptors last season. Both of them are now in different teams, DeRozan traded to the Spurs and Casey hired by the Pistons. The two shared a warm moment before their game.
DeRozan then proceeded to slice up Casey’s team with a near triple-double of 26 points, seven rebounds and nine assists.
With this win, the Spurs have now won five straight games and are now 13-3 in their last 16 games. This win also ties Coach Gregg Popovich with Jerry Sloan at third in the All-Time wins list.
