Three things that happened in the NBA today

1. Cavs put on a show in Boradway

It was either a six-minute subway ride or get stuck in traffic for 45 minutes after their morning shootaround. LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers opted for the shorter, but fuller New York experience. They took the subway.

In the evening, James decided to treat the Madison Square Garden crowd to the full King James experience.

After falling behind by 23 points, he teamed up with Kyle Korver to lead the Cavaliers to the win.

Korver dropped 19 of his 21 points in the fourth quarter as he caught fire from beyond the arc.

James was excellent all game, almost getting a triple-double with 23 points, nine rebounds and 12 assists. In the final minutes of the game, he broke a 97 deadlock with a step-back three-pointer over Knicks superstar, Kristaps Porzingis.

The Cavs haven’t been at their best all season, but they’ve put up some entertaining performances.

2. Ben Simmons dunks all over the Clippers

Ben Simmons had a dunk party in LA, jamming down five dunks in the first half. He added two more in the second half to finish with seven for the game.

Simmons doesn’t have a consistent jumper just yet. But who needs an outside jumper when you can get to the rim at will?

3. Joel Embiid trolls the Clippers frontline

While Simmons was putting on a dunk fest, Joel Embiid was trolling the LA Clippers frontline.

Things got heated in the second quarter when Willie Reed dropped Embiid with a hard foul and both teams almost got into a scuffle. Embiid then mouthed, “He can’t guard me. He can’t guard me.”

He followed that up with a savage point and laugh combo after another altercation. Then he did choke sign for Reed during a break in the game.

It wasn’t just Reed he played though. He faked DeAndre Jordan and finished a slam on Blake Griffin. He added a solid stare down just for fun.

In the final quarter, Embiid fouled out Jordan and started taunting a Clips fan, telling him that DJ was going home.

To finish his solid troll job on the Clippers, Embiid gave a savage post game interview after their win.

That was a masterclass in trolling an backing up talk by Joel Embiid.

Did an NBA Jersey rip today?

Nope but Joel Embiid ripped Willie Reed a new one.
