NBA 2k17 was formally launched recently at the NBA Cafe. Members of the media were able to test out the game via Sony PS4 units around the cafe. Also present were NBA 2k16 tournament champs Rial Polog and Wilmer Magno. SLAM EIC Nikko Ramos hosted the festivities, while ballers Von Pessumal and Simon Enciso were present to test out the new edition.

It was also announced that the NBA 2K17 PS4 Asia Tournament – Philippines Qualifier will kick off its first two qualifier legs on October 15 and 16 at SM Southmall. The third and final qualifier leg will be conducted during the E-Sports and Gaming Summit (ESGS) on October 29 at the SMX Convention Center, Mall of Asia Complex. The top-four players from the three qualifier legs will return the next day on October 30 for the semifinals and finals of the Philippine Qualifier. The NBA 2K17 PS4 Philippine Qualifier Champion and Runner-up will represent the country at the NBA 2K17 PS4 Asia Regional Finals in Taipei early next year.
