The new era of the UST Growling Tigers is starting off with a bang. After signing coach Aldin Ayo to a long term contract, the new coaching staff immediately went to work. They were able to get their first blue chip recruit in UAAP Juniors MVP CJ Cansino.
Coach Aldin Ayo announced that Cansino will be staying in Espana by going from Tiger Cub to Growling Tiger.

Cansino had a break out season this year. He averaged monster numbers, leading the league in points (24.6 per game) and rebounds (12.9 per game). He led the UST Tiger Cubs to the brink of elimination all the way to a battle against the second seed NU Bullpups.
The 6’3″ forward is an long, explosive player that was nearly unstoppable when he had a full head of steam. He can immediately step into the starting role for the Growling Tigers and be the head of the Coach Ayo’s Mayhem System. Cansino can be used similarly to how Ricci Rivero was used last season. His athleticism can open up opportunities for himself and the rest of his teammates.
