LOOK: PBA releases 2016 Governors’ Cup postseason schedule

Itching to see your favorite PBA team battle it out in the postseason? Well check out the schedule of games so you know when to tune in.

Things kick off unofficially on Wednesday, September 21, that is, if there’s a playoff for a twice-to-beat advantage or the eighth seed. If not, the quarterfinals get underway on September 22, with the #2 seed battling the #7 seed, and the #3 seed taking on the #6 seed. The next day, September 23, that’s when #1 faces #8, and #4 encounters #5.

Semis begin on September 26, with the two series alternating back-and-forth. If things wrap up early, the Finals will then begin on October 5, otherwise, they’ll be on October 7.

As of writing, Talk ‘N Text, Ginebra, and San Miguel have all clinched twice-to-beat advantages. They’re followed by Meralco and Mahindra at 6-5, Alaska and NLEX at 5-5, Phoenix at 5-6, and Rain or Shine at 4-6. GlobalPort, Star, and Blackwater have all wrapped up their seasons, in terms of postseason eligibility.
