It was a hotly contested game when LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers visited the New York Knicks. James put on a show and pulled out a win in Madison Square Garden.
Before the game, James stirred up some controversy when he said that Dennis Smith Jr., the high-flying rookie of the Dallas Mavericks should be a Knick.

That had the Knicks pissed off coming into this game and it spilled onto the court. Things got heated in the game when Frank Ntilikina, the player the Knicks drafted instead of Smith Jr., got into a tussle with James. Enes Kanter, joined in on the fray before the two were separated.
After the game, Kanter had some choice words for James.

Kanter is a viciously fierce teammate that takes no shit from anyone. If anyone in his team gets attacked, he will fight back. His choice words for James stemmed from a visit by the Cavaliers last season where they played the water bottle flip challenged in the middle of a blowout game.

Kanter obviously believes that this Knicks team is different that last year’s and he’s out to take the respect that he feels they deserve.
James had an immediate response to the post game comments of Kanter.

He then followed that up with an instagram post that was meant to stoke the fire.
James is known to take pettiness to a new level so this comes as no surprise. Just like Kanter, he won’t back down as well. This was a clear response directed towards Kanter who started this word war.
Kanter, playing true to his role as the loyal teammate had a ready answer for James’ social media bomb.

James’ teammates had a lighter approach to the spiciness between him and Kanter. They decided to have a coordinated attack featuring a beloved character of their leader.

That Arthur meme will never get old and the Cavs won’t let James live that down.
