With LeBron James in tow, the Lakers are looking at bringing back Showtime in LA. The team unveiled their Icon, Association and Statement uniforms today. All three editions have nods to the Showtime era jerseys of the 80s.
The Lakers are bringing back the rounded neckline, striped ribbing and drop shadow elements, all of which are huge elements in the uniforms of the teams in the 80s and 90s.
The young core of Lonzo Ball, Kyle Kuzma, Brandon Ingram and Ivica Zubac modeled the new jerseys.
The most iconic of the three unveiled is the Icon edition. The Laker gold shines through with hits of white and purple.
The Association uniforms are bright white for Laker home games.
The Statement editions are boldly purple with black side stripes.
The new kits are available online in the Lakers Store.
