Jordan Brand press release
For the first time in league history, NBA standouts will wear the iconic Jumpman on their chest during the NBA All-Star Game. Today, Jordan Brand revealed its first-ever NBA All-Star Edition uniforms at its Future of Flight event in Los Angeles.
The Jordan Brand NBA All-Star Edition uniform blends Jordan Brand style with the latest innovation, adding another element of distinction to this year’s game by utilizing a clean black-and-white color scheme featuring individual team logos and a font inspired by Los Angeles street sign typography. Its elevated aesthetic creates a premium look on and off the court.
Jordan family member and reigning MVP Russell Westbrook will represent his team and the Jumpman in his 7th All-Star Game appearance.
To celebrate the 30-year-anniversary of Michael Jordan’s 1988 Slam Dunk Contest victory and ASG MVP honors, a commemorative Chicago Bulls uniform will release in both black and white.
Other key design elements include the Jumpman logo, “All-Star Edition” scripted above the size tag and knit tape debossed stars down each side that pay tribute to past All-Star uniforms.
“Jordan Brand has always been fearless when it comes to pushing the boundaries of innovation and style,” said Jordan Brand VP of Design, David Creech. “The Jordan Brand NBA All-Star Edition uniform embodies that attitude with a distinctive look. Our goal was to combine the street-premium Jordan sportswear feel with Los Angeles style for a jersey that looks just as good on the court as off it. We’re excited to see this year’s NBA All-Stars represent their teams in Jordan style on the biggest, brightest stage.”
