UCLA-commit Kobe Paras earned some praise from Eric Bossi of US sports recruitment site Rivals.com, based on Paras’ opening day performance at the 2015 adidas Uprising All-American Camp, held in New York.
Paras, who will be a senior at Cathedral High School next season, was described as “a wing athlete with good size and some bounce.”
Though Paras is known more for his highlight reel jams, being a back-to-back winner in the FIBA 3×3 U18 World Championships Slam Dunk Contest, Bossi actually complemented Paras’ shooting, saying that he had a “clean and quick release and looks like he should be very dangerous curling off of screens to bury jumpers in the Pac-12 [the conference of UCLA in the NCAA].”
Through four games, Paras, who is a member of Team Teague, has averages of 12.0 points, 3.0 rebounds and 1.3 assists. He’s shot 18-of-28 from the field, or 64.3 percent, and 4-of-10 (40.0 percent) on triples. Team Teague overall has a 2-2 record, and will wrap up their schedule against Team Rose.
