The Philippines once again compiled a 1-1 game day, to finish their 2016 FIBA 3×3 World Championships run with a 2-2 record, Friday in Guangzhou, China.
The squad of Mac Belo, Karl Dehesa, and Glenn Khobuntin, with Russel Escoto still sidelined, lost a close one to Hungary, 18-16, before completing their group stage games with a rout of Poland, 21-8.
In Group C, 4-0 Spain and 3-1 Hungary advanced to the quarterfinals.
When the dust settled, Khobuntin and Belo did tie for sixth place in the scoring table, with both dropping 28 markers. Dehesa meanwhile finished with 18.
