Aces trade away Carl Bryan Cruz to acquire Abu Tratter from Blackwater

Coach Jeff Cariaso completed his first trade as the new head coach of the Alaska Aces. Alaska traded away forward Carl Bryan Cruz to the Blackwater Elite in exchange for rookie, Abu Tratter.

This trade has been finalized in the PBA transactions page.

Adding the 6’6″ Tratter will not only give the Aces front court an added boost in height, it also gives them a shot in the arm in terms of youth. Tratter wasn’t played much in the Commissioner’s Cup by the Elite as they leaned on their imports as the main weapon in the front court. In Alaska, he will be plugged into a thin frontline rotation that have only Sonny Thoss and Noy Baclao as the centers.

As for the Elite, they add another young forward to their already solid group. Cruz will join Bobby Ray Parks, Jr., Mac Belo and Raymar Jose, giving the team multiple options at the 3 and 4 positions.
